Message from the President

The Society of Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation is with you.

Japan Society of Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation
President: Hajime Kurosawa

Welcome to the website of the Japan Society of Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation. Our society recognizes that our mission is to contribute to clinical medicine and research not only in Japan but also in the world through academic activities in the field of respiratory care and rehabilitation. To this end, our society's activities must be fruitful and enjoyable. We need to advance to make society where every person can work energetically and discover joie de vivre.

Participation from various professions is one of the characteristics of our society. Wouldn't it be great to have a society that can forge horizontal connections regardless of profession through medical practice and academic activities, and create so many networks in which all the members can discuss their opinion on an equal footing? I think that those who are considering joining our society are also browsing this page. Please check the contents of this site and our society, and if you like it, please join the society. Our society has a certification system for respiratory care instructors. We also publish a journal, which anyone can view online. Please follow the link to see it. In addition, we will strive to provide various information on our website and to enhance training events. Please feel free to give us feedback if you have any requests. We would like to make efforts to meet the needs of people who are interested in our society or seeking any help concerning our society's fields.

There are various issues that we must face, such as COVID-19, pneumonia among elderly, allergies such as asthma, prevention of COPD and lung cancer, smoking cessation, shortage of facilities that can provide respiratory rehabilitation, medical fees for respiratory rehabilitation, and so on. To find solutions to these urgent issues, we must work together with related organizations, such as the Japanese Respiratory Society. We would be happy if you could be with us so that our society can make steady progress and contribute to all the people in the world. We ask for your support and cooperation, and we would appreciate your active participation in various challenges and understanding for the purpose of making our society better.

Finally, I would like to conclude my remarks as President by wishing you all continued good health and success.
